I had leftover scratch paper (some of it good, some bad, depending on how hard the student had pressed with the oil pastels). I hate throwing away anything so instead of tossing it, I had 8th graders try to work with it. To my surprise they did not get annoyed and frustrated with finding a paper that worked well. They were really good sports about it, and some turned out really cool.
