Make Room for Dr. Seuss

4th and 5th graders made a room inspired by Dr. Seuss's "Cat in the Hat" drawings, such as the fish, dress, ball, green eggs, cake, rake, and anything they wanted! They used a vanishing point to make the shape of their room. They did some great details, remember to click on image for close-up.

Unusual Snowfall in 2010

Today was the first day to feel like spring, but these snowmen are too cute to not post. Also not to forget all the snow from last month! During mid-February the USA had unusual amounts of snowfall. 49 of all 50 states were covered with snow (Hawaii is only state excluded). This is so strange that the federal offices have never kept track of such an occurrence. Therefore, they can’t look back to see if it has ever happened in the nation’s history before.

Day One of ISATS and Dr. Seuss' B-day

We love words like Dr. Seuss, so in art we put it to use! The past couple weeks, Fernwood students have been using letters and words in their art class. Dr. Seuss was our inspiration.
