Gobble, Gobble

Everyone likes to get their hands covered in paint every once in awhile. Especially when it involves making awesome looking turkeys. After Reading "Setting the Turkeys Free", Kindergardeners made their own hand turkeys just like the young boy in the book.

Portrait Pros!

Every student at Fernwood did a self-portrait using the color of their art class group and a color next to it on the color wheel (analogous colors for you advanced artists :-)) Together all our portraits made a rainbow.
Remember, click on the image to get a close-up. There were so many fantastic portaits!

ROY G BP!!

6th grade continued their study of Color with collaged color wheels. They could cut any shape out of the painted paper, and they amazed me with the variety of shapes they chose!

All the classes have been using the story of ROY with a G at the BP to remember the order of the colors. It is our version of Roy G. Biv!

Check out these portraits!

Follow the link to see artwork by an artist who stacks crayons to make PORTRAITS. We also used crayons to make our portraits, but in a much different way! If you would like to see more links on cool artists and other websites, you can find me on Facebook at MsArtNouveau Reardon. I try to post a new links on my Facebook every Friday.

How do you like "them" apples?

It was their first day learning to use pastels, and the 5th Graders did these awesome apples in one art period! Shows how much work you can get done when you focus on your work. Good work today 5th grade!
